Project Manager

M.B. McNamara Construction Ltd is seeking an experienced Project Manager; this position will be site based. The successful candidate will report to Company Directors and will work closely with them to drive the project through to successful completion, on time, within budget and to the highest standards. 

 The successful candidate will hold an engineering degree, be highly skilled in computer programmes such as MS Project / Asta / BIM/Revit and AutoCAD.  


  • Responsible for the day to day running of the project including coordination and supervision of site personnel and subcontractors.  
  • Oversee all subcontractors and site personnel to ensure work is complete on schedule whilst complying with company policy 
  • Attend site meetings to collate progress reports and to ensure all relevant information is collected and actions 
  • Attend meetings with clients, subcontractors and consultants and ensure all requirements are actioned 
  • Ensure all resources are planned, scheduled and available on site when needed 
  • Promote and comply with Health and Safety on site, deliver works safely and to project deadlines 
  • Overseeing the accurate and timely setting out of works according to contract drawings, preparing drawings and calculations as required 
  • Ensuring checks are carried out on a regular basis and comply with legal requirements 
  • Ensuring the recording and maintaining records such as site diary, drawing registers, outstanding defects, quality reports, daily diaries, progress photographs, 
  • Promote best practice on site, comply with company procedures and ensure the work is snag/defect free 
  • Maintenance of Quality Management System on site and ensure records are compliant with ISO Standards 
  • Coordination and Supervision of Subcontractors in the performance of the Works 
  • Work as part of a team, but with an ambition for promotion 
  • Provide technical guidance and resolve critical site issues. 
  • Manage site safety, environmentally friendly manner and fully implement site rules.  

 Requirements & Responsibilities 

For this role, the ideal candidate will have the following: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering 
  • Have 10 years site experience with site Project Management with a Main Contractor 
  • Strong leadership and organisational capabilities and be skilled in meeting deadlines 
  • Assist in the Procurement Schedule and dates with Quantity Surveyors. 
  • Preparation of Progress Reports for bi-weekly meetings. 
  • Ability to prepare, track and maintain Project Programme, Microsoft, Asta Planner or another.
