Description:

“Live Environment” Liffey Wing extension which saw 70 bedrooms with full ensuite completed on time and within budget. 5 floors were constructed using twin wall and wide slab structures. These were prefabricated off site and the floor slab and twin wall internal was poured in-situ giving a sealed floor once props were removed. Services were prefabricated where possible and dropped into position on site thus speeding up the first fix phase of the project. This allowed other trades to keep pace with the rest of the structure. The early construction and optimization of the mock-up sample room assisted greatly in the reduction in the overall on-site construction phase and minimized reworking. Each room was decorated to the highest quality finish ensuring the best standards were maintained. Building achieved a B1 rating.
Two of the five floors in the K-Club extension were completed and occupied after 4 months.
