This former marine warehouse (originally built for loading cattle in 1800’s) was converted into a stunning contemporary office development with panoramic views of the North Quays. A mezzanine floor was introduced by raising the roof and introducing a clerestorey window and Skylights. A combination of restoration, conservation and contemporary design produced circa 4000 ft² of prime workspace on the South Quays. The glass balustrade to the River’s edge doubles as part of the new flood defence on this part of the Liffey. Refurbishing the existing ironmongery and fixing onto new solid oak shutters gives the front elevation of this Campshires building back its unique character. These 8m long by 5m high solid oak doors have been automated for ease of use.
